why does lennie visit crooks

This seems reasonable and quite natural. In Steinbecks world however loneliness and isolation is what is expected. At first Crooks is reluctant to allow Lennie into his room angry that he isnt permitted to be in the white mens room.

Therefore he is not accustomed to having somebody come into his room. Lennie tells Crooks about the rabbits and Crooks vents about his mistreatment as an African-American. Lennie goes to Crooks room in the stable.

George travels with Lennie because it is far better than traveling alone and having no one to talk to. This is especially true for guys like Lennie and Crooks. Both have a small talk.

Crooks reacts negatively because he is mad that Lennie can just walk into his room. Because he is gulible he believes him so easily. He snaps at Lennie then asks him what he would do if.

The reason for this is that because of Crooks skin color he lives in separation from the other men. He lets him because he is lonely and he knows Lennie will not judge him. How does crooks feel about Lennie.
